Burger is a lovable, affectionate boy whose sweet personality is finally shining through. Once a bit unsure, he has blossomed in foster care—seeking affection, showing off his silly side, and zooming around the house with pure joy (sometimes forgetting how to stop!). He gets very excited for walks and mealtime, often spinning in place with enthusiasm, and he walks nicely on a leash. He’ll even bring a toy along with him for emotional support.

Burger gets along well with his foster family’s two dogs. He can play a little rough at times, but he’s easily redirected and eager to please. He is full of energy, loves being near his people, and has been crate-trained—settling in after a few minutes of fussing because he’d really prefer to cuddle up with you instead.

He still has a bit of “stranger danger,” especially around men, but with patience, consistency, and a gentle approach, Burger is steadily gaining confidence.

Burger is truly the best boy and will make a wonderful companion for the right family—one that loves his big heart, his silly zoomies, and his desire to be close. He’s ready for someone who will help continue building his confidence and celebrate the joyful dog he has become.
