Suraya

My name is Caroline. My family adopted Suraya at Pet Sense on Monday last week (3/28/22). I wanted to share our story with you. We are a family of 4. My husband and I have 2 boys - a 3 year old and a 2 year old. We have had a great pyreneese growing up with our baby for a year and a half now - she is 2. We also have a 4 year old bearded dragon. Needless to say, our boys absolutely LOVE animals. I went to Pet Sense to buy some worms for our bearded and I spotted Suraya. Immediately I fell in love with her beauty and her personality. She seemed very playful! A few hours later I brought the kids, the hubby AND the dog to go meet her. Well we were all surprised at how playful she was with all of us and at how inviting she was with the dog and vice versa. We brought her home that night and she's been great ever since. Cried through the night the first night. But she's been eating and drinking well. She's been very playful with the kids. Has even slept with the dog a couple times. She's also using the bathroom normally and I inspect her poop every time for any signs of worms - all clear! Below are some pictures we have taken of her. We are so happy we found her ❤️ she seems to be very happy too.

Eva

Here she is! We kept her name, Eva. She is home and thriving with her two remaining kittens, whom we are planning on adopting next week 🙂

Jackson
Kylie

Good Morning Lori and the whole team at Osceola Animal Services,

Angel is doing really well, she already has both of us very trained. We decided to call her Kylie McDuffee since we got to take her home on St Paddy's day after her surgery, even though she is really an Angelic little girl. The surgery went well, and she is recovering quickly. I have included a couple pictures and will keep you posted on her progress.

Thanks again for all you did to make this happen, it is very evident how much you all care about the well being of all these homeless pets, and we truly appreciate everything you do.

Have a terrific day.

Mozzy

We adopted Otis, whom we renamed Mozzy. He started responding to his new name within an hour, so definitely felt like it was a good fit!

Mozzy is not quite the shy, relaxed boy we met at the shelter; he's pretty hyper and loves antagonizing his doggy brother into playing. 😂

That being said, he is super sweet, very cuddly, and is doing better each day with listening and following the rules. He's certainly making our other dog, Moonshine, very happy by being a fun playmate.

He are some photos of Mozzy settling in.

Thank you!

Fuku

Fuku is still doing well! Do you remember the skittish little cat who hid in the box away from everyone? She has become quite comfortable in her new home. While she still has a tendency being nervous going to the vet, she’s the boss at home. She even picks on my roommate’s dog on occasion.

She’s extremely affectionate and attached to my hip. I’m so grateful I was able to adopt her. In a way, she rescued me too.

Just wanted to give an update. She’s grown into a very spoiled and happy kitty cat.

Fuku Photos

Fuku (formerly Dayton) is doing wonderfully. It took her a few days to get comfortable but now she is enjoying daily brushes, her new scratching post and delicious treats! She’s not fond of my roommate’s dog but that’s okay. Hopefully they’ll warm up to each other soon. And if not, that’s okay too. She just has to love her new owner and she definitely does.

Enjoy some pictures! Last one is the one I took of her in the shelter and all the others are in her new home.

Thank you so much for introducing me to this ball of fluff. I was and am still grieving the loss of my last cat but it was wonderful bringing this new animal in to my home. She heals a lot of the hurt.
Sincerely,

Shannon Hanchin and Fuku

King Jeremy

He's doing great! Working on potty training, otherwise doing great!

Beasley

Hello friends, I adopted Fluffy on 1/21 and renamed her to Beasley, after the Buffalo Bills football player Cole Beasley, as she isn’t very fluffy. She is loving her new home, and she goes to a personal dog watcher 5 days a week when I am at work. The lady usually watches 1-4 dogs and says Beasley is very motherly and licks all the new dogs as they come in. We have finally started playing with toys and plays with all the dogs at daycare everyday. We love bones and lots of sleep. Her Instagram is https://instagram.com/beasley.the.doggo?utm_medium=copy_link but I'll attach some other photos as well. She is doing great and I am so happy i was able to take her home.

Merlin

m so glad I chose your shelter to adopt. My new family member is awesome. I could not be more happy. We named our precious cat Merlin the Magnificent!!!!! He is the most fun and loving cat I ever have had. He can smell milk a mile away. Lol. We all fit together like a PBJ. His first night home we knew we were family. He landed up in my dinner plate. That boy loves KFC. 😂😂😂😂😂 I can't thank you enough for all the work you do. Please continue to help our unfortunate animals. If in future, you need a recommendation, you can count on me to be first in line. Again, thank you.

Very sincerely,

Margaret Bonesteel

Mikey/Cookie

Hello!

Thank you for writing me! I adopted Dexter from PetSmart last week. We went through many names and found we like Mikey the best and I've nicknamed him Cookie.

He is so sweet and very curious. He wants to play all the time and wants to play with my mother's older cat, I'm supervising them, he's ready to go (and knows where our bedroom is for safety!), my mom's cat, Pixie, who is 8, is still unsure of the new little gremlin in the home!

He gives the best little headbutts and I didn't hear his meow until I tried a momma call/purr meow, he talks with me all the time.

I honestly didn't go into PetSmart to adopt a cat, I went with my mom to get food for her cat and I found him in the front, they said he was just dropped off and he was so scared.

On March 15th, 2021 (last year), I lost my 11-year-old cat, my husband and I can't have kids, so our cat, Zoe was like our kid and he knew it. I had adopted Zoe at Avery County Humane Society in NC in 2010, I was a cat/kitten caretaker, he was born during a bad thunderstorm and had ever since been afraid of storms, always hiding and spider crawling to under the blankets. Losing him was awful (blood clot lower spine rendered him immobile and in pain, I think the vet said it was saddle thrombus?), I did everything I could to save him, St Francis Vet did all they could to help and it ended in a box. I was completely and utterly heartbroken.

We moved from Athens GA in January 2021, from moving, health issues with my mother who couldn't walk due to sciatic nerve issues (month-long chiropractor visits helped immensely), and losing my cat kid, it was an awful year but I was healing, slowly but surely. I was avoiding adopting anything, even a fish!

The moment I locked eyes with this new kitten, it was done. I knew him to be mine. We came home and I told him that it was okay baby boy because he was home now. It was hard and I cried, I was holding him and Zoe's box is on my bedside shelf where I can always see him. Zoe would've loved Mikey.

My heart is so happy and my husband is completely taken with Mikey. My husband, Colin, works at Wild Florida at the Safari as a zookeeper and giraffe trainer, Mikey is a little prince and refuses to be pet until his new daddy takes a shower! LOL After, it's hard to separate them, Mikey loves to be held.

He loves his toys, I saved some toys of Zoe's and got him some new ones, he loves them all. Last night we got him his own little cat tower and he runs all over it! At night he loves to chase our feet and his tail, but he is so gentle, all you feel is his little jumps. It's been one week but little Mikey has taken our hearts.

Thank you for reaching out, I hope you enjoy the photos just from the past week.

All the Best,
Sammantha
